Bluefly Operations Mapping

[!NOTE] This document maps Thomas's recurring operational activities to OpenClaw capabilities, prioritizing them by measurable ROI (Hours Saved). This serves as the roadmap for Phase 4 & Phase 5 Execution.

1. Morning Operational Briefing

  • Current Workflow: Manually logging into GitLab to check pipelines, SSHing into Oracle instances to check disk space/health, reviewing error logs on Drupal sites.
  • OpenClaw Capability: lobster scheduled workflow + gogcli (email digest) + telecrawl (Telegram alert).
  • Automation Candidate: Consolidated Morning Health Check. Polling GitLab API via nix-openclaw scripts, checking Oracle status via Docker API over Tailscale, and sending a unified brief to Telegram at 8:00 AM.
  • Hours Saved: 3 hours / week.
  • ROI: High. Immediate visibility, eliminates context switching to start the day.

2. GitLab Merge Request Reviews

  • Current Workflow: Receiving email/Slack notifications, pulling code locally, running static analysis, reading diffs on GitLab UI.
  • OpenClaw Capability: lobster PR monitor workflow + crabbox CI hydration + OpenClaw agent execution.
  • Automation Candidate: Agentic pre-review. OpenClaw receives webhook/polling trigger via lobster, spawns a crabbox environment, runs the tests, reads the diff, and posts a review comment directly via GitLab API or sends a Telegram summary.
  • Hours Saved: 5 hours / week.
  • ROI: Very High. Offloads initial sanity checks and mechanical linting.

3. Drupal Drift Audits

  • Current Workflow: Running drush status and drush config:status across multiple client sites to detect unauthorized changes or pending updates.
  • OpenClaw Capability: Scheduled lobster pipeline invoking remote execution over Tailscale, feeding results into clawdex for tracking.
  • Automation Candidate: Automated Drift Monitor. Nightly cron job triggering drush checks on all monitored sites, alerting via Telegram only if drift > 0.
  • Hours Saved: 2 hours / week.
  • ROI: Medium/High. Proactive security posture.

4. Oracle Administration & Incident Response

  • Current Workflow: Connecting to Oracle Cloud dashboard or SSHing into instances when an alert fires to restart containers or free disk space.
  • OpenClaw Capability: telecrawl Slash commands routed to lobster workflows executing on the Oracle host.
  • Automation Candidate: ChatOps Oracle Control. Send /restart-docker or /clean-disk via Telegram to OpenClaw, which executes the predefined bash scripts locally.
  • Hours Saved: 1.5 hours / week (plus reduced MTTR).
  • ROI: High. Extremely high value during critical incidents.

5. Proposal Generation & Customer Follow-up

  • Current Workflow: Searching past proposals, copying templates, adjusting scope based on meeting notes, sending via Gmail.
  • OpenClaw Capability: clawdex (search past documents) + gogcli (Docs/Gmail automation) + OpenClaw agent instruction.
  • Automation Candidate: Proposal Scaffolder. Agent fetches notes from Google Docs, searches clawdex for similar past proposals, generates a draft, and uploads it via gogcli.
  • Hours Saved: 4 hours / week.
  • ROI: Very High. Directly impacts revenue generation speed.

6. Daily Engineering Receipts

  • Current Workflow: Compiling notes at the end of the day to track progress and update the Sprint Dashboard.
  • OpenClaw Capability: clawdex (aggregating day's CLI/commit logs) + openclaw summarization skill.
  • Automation Candidate: EOD Receipt Generator. Scans local git worktrees and shell history, summarizes accomplishments, and appends to HEARTBEAT.md or emails summary.
  • Hours Saved: 1 hour / week.
  • ROI: Medium. Maintains governance hygiene with zero friction.
