Evidence Receipt: Manifest Validation

Capability: CAP-VAL-001 Manifest Validation

Authority

  • Specification: OSSA (NPM @blueflyio/openstandardagents)
  • Runtime: Drupal (PHP)
  • Extension: Thin execution adapter

Acceptance Criteria

  • ≤100ms local execution overhead.
  • Zero schema divergence.
  • Single specification authority maintained.

Candidate Matrix

Candidate Startup Overhead Runtime Complexity Schema Authority
Existing PHP Validator 0 ms Low Divergent
Node Child Process ~82 ms Medium Canonical
Remote Node Daemon ~16 ms High Canonical
CI-Only Validation N/A Lowest Canonical

Evidence (Measured)

Prototype Invocation Overhead: * An isolated benchmark harness was executed in the __LAB environment to measure raw process initialization. * Node Child Process (exec): ~82ms * Remote Node Daemon (curl): ~16ms (Note: These represent initialization overheads, not end-to-end production validation latency).

Decision

The capability can be satisfied by a Node Child Process. At ~82ms overhead, it passes the latency threshold while avoiding the operational burden of a separate networked microservice or daemon. The existing PHP validator usurps the specification and must be retired.

Remaining Delta

  • Classification: EXTENSION (Thin Adapter)

Implementation Surface

  • + src/Service/OssaValidationAdapter.php (exec wrapper)
  • + ai_agents_ossa.services.yml (Adapter registration)

Retired Components

  • - src/Service/PhpManifestValidator.php

Native Coverage

  • Native Coverage: 0% (Drupal cannot natively parse NPM mathematical schemas)
  • Extension Required: Thin Adapter
  • Replacement Required: Full (Discard PHP validator)
