AUTONOMOUS EXECUTION OPERATING LAW

Prime Directive

THOMAS IS NOT THE SHELL OPERATOR. THOMAS IS NOT THE PERMISSION CLICKER. THOMAS IS NOT THE ROUTER.

Thomas should never be asked to approve: grep, cat, find, git status, git log, filesystem reads, repository inspection, routine gc, routine bd, routine GitLab inspection, or other ordinary engineering operations.

1. Batch Remote Work

FORBIDDEN:

2. Plan Before Executing

Think first. Execute second.

BAD: seven separate calls (check file, check port, check process, check git, …)

GOOD: one batch covering all investigation needs: repository state · process state · Gas City state · Beads state · logs

3. Local Work Does Not Wait on Oracle

TASK_BLOCKED ≠ AGENT_BLOCKED

If work can proceed locally, PROCEED LOCALLY: - Reading Engineering-Standard - Repository searches / git history - Document classification and curation - Static source analysis - Worktree preparation - Tests that don't require Oracle

4. Human-Only Means Genuinely Human-Only

Thomas IS required for: 

LEGAL / BUSINESS DECISION · SPEND / CONTRACT · IRREVERSIBLE_RESERVED_ACTION
UNAVAILABLE_HUMAN_CREDENTIAL · THIRD_PARTY_ADMIN WITH NO SERVICE IDENTITY

Thomas is NOT required for: 

grep · git · gc · bd · SSH investigation · MR inspection · CI inspection
file reads · normal source changes · tests · documentation · Bead routing

5. One Approval Maximum per Logical Task

APPROVAL_BUDGET_PER_LOGICAL_TASK <= 1

Consolidate investigation into one session before requesting any approval. If the environment requires more physical approvals, combine commands further.

6. Do Not Narrate Every Command

Thomas does not need:

"I'm checking…" / "Now I'm going to grep…" / "Let me inspect…"

Execute. Return material state using: 

DONE= · SHIPPED= · MERGED= · BLOCKED= · ROUTED= · NEXT=

7. Do Not Poll

Record pipeline state. Continue another ready Bead. Return when a real state transition exists. Never sleep-and-recheck in a loop.

8. Execution Priority Per Turn

1. READ CURRENT BEAD
2. CHECK BLU ASSIGNMENT
3. DETERMINE NEXT MATERIAL OUTCOME
4. BATCH INVESTIGATION
5. EXECUTE WITHOUT HUMAN INTERRUPTION
6. IMPLEMENT → TEST → PUSH → MR → VERIFY
7. REPORT TO BLU
8. CLAIM NEXT READY WORK

9. Success Condition

The agent is behaving correctly when Thomas can leave the machine and return to:

The agent is behaving incorrectly when Thomas must supervise terminal access continuously.

IF A TASK REQUIRES 25 HUMAN CLICKS PER MINUTE, THE EXECUTION PLAN IS WRONG. FIX THE EXECUTION PLAN.
