Bluefly Private Factory Build Guide¶
Standard ID: ES-INFRA-FACTORY-BUILD Scope: Implementation and hardware build guide for the Bluefly Private Factory.
Hardware Recommendation¶
Primary Compute Node: MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro (or equivalent Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Mini PC) - CPU: AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (efficient NPU for local inferencing) - RAM: 64 GB DDR5 (necessary for holding agent contexts and local models) - SSD: 2 TB NVMe SSD (fast local storage for Docker, vector DBs, and active workspaces) - Networking: 2.5GbE - OS: Ubuntu Server or Debian
Budget Estimate: ~$1,250 (Compute + UPS + Switch)
Implementation Phases¶
- Phase 0: Verify current state - Ensure Oracle/NAS/GitLab boundaries are established.
- Phase 1: GitLab + Oracle + OpenClaw baseline - Solidify Oracle as the sole public gateway.
- Phase 2: NAS layout and mirrors - Implement Btrfs snapshots, create layout, set up automated Git mirrors.
- Phase 3: Buy/build home AI box - Purchase compute node, install Ubuntu Server, Tailscale, Docker.
- Phase 4: Agent BLU bootstrap - Connect Home Box to Oracle OpenClaw. Initialize Gas Town / Gas City.
- Phase 5: Nightly curation - Deploy framework. Enable curators.
- Phase 6: GitLab exit/mirror strategy - Validate NAS mirrors are perfectly synced for disaster recovery.
Network Topology¶
- Oracle VPS: Public Gateway. Runs OpenClaw API securely over Tailscale.
- Home AI Box: Private Compute. No SSH exposed to internet.
- NAS: Private Storage. No UI exposed to internet.
Contractors remain exclusively on GitLab and are NEVER issued Tailscale access to the private factory.
